My photographs are the result of observing reality, which I distort according to my imagination, but only slightly. Just enough to give my images that particular tone.
The title of the series, ‘Picture of Her’, is confusing: who is ‘She’? Looking at the images, we can guess that it is a child, always the same one, in poses that could be a game, or not: is the child playing hide and seek or trying to escape by jumping out of the window, blending into the background to the point of becoming a curtain, a lamp, a piece of furniture, placed there?
This series began with souvenir photos, as all parents do, in order to keep a record of a time that passes quickly. From this unconscious and trivial gesture was born an artistic approach as a duo. We are in a world where dreams and strangeness go hand in hand, even though I work with natural light. What if it were a dream?
