The Territoire series focuses on a community living in a Wagenplatz, the current name for a space occupied by caravans or lorries.
This semi-urban community reflects a lifestyle choice that lies between social, cultural and spatial networks. Built along the lines of “living differently”, it seeks to demonstrate the absurdity of the logic of overproduction and the accumulation of goods, by feeding on surpluses, housing itself through the recycling of materials or collected objects, creating from existing objects diverted from their original function, and returning to a more autonomous local mode of production. There’s also a major creative dimension, with local residents taking ownership of the area. The construction of objects, sculptures and personal totem poles projects the energy that drives the identity of each individual onto the site, leaving their mark on the collective and individual space.
