ACTWALL is a non-profit initiative based in Geneva, renewing a fundamental link between collectors and photographers, both emerging and established, by positioning itself as the first platform for the acquisition of photographic works in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

OUR MISSION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our mission is to encourage artistic excellence with meaningful engagement within the Swiss community, by discovering photographers based in Switzerland, recognized within institutional circles, yet whose works remain surprisingly difficult to acquire. In fact, more than 98% of photographic works in Switzerland are invisible for acquisition. In response to this reality, ACTWALL actively seeks to identify and promote under-represented talents, placing coherence and quality at the heart of its approach. Moreover, we strive for a more equitable ecosystem by considering each artist as an equal partner.<\/p>\n

Our vision is to raise awareness among the new generation of collectors about the crucial importance of photographic acquisition, which represents the most direct support for artists. To meet this challenge, we offer tailored expert guidance throughout the acquisition process, aimed at both photographers and collectors. Our objective is to facilitate the creation of collections that reflect positive and ethical values. Through this approach, we aim to make the acquisition experience less intimidating and more transparent.<\/p>\n

ACTWALL offers photographers increased visibility and direct acquisition opportunities, thereby contributing to their professional development in a consistent and ethical manner. The project brings together an engaged community around photography in Switzerland, composed of artists, institutions, enthusiasts, and collectors, fostering collaborations. ACTWALL enriches the Swiss photographic scene by showcasing both emerging and established photographers, contributing to artistic diversity. By collaborating mainly with partners based in Geneva, ACTWALL is committed to supporting local production and economy.<\/p>\n

SELECTION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACTWALL carefully selects and supports talented photographers based in Switzerland according to criteria that guarantee the quality and uniqueness of the works presented. Photographers must express an authentic and personal artistic approach. The platform seeks to support both established artists, already institutionally recognized, as well as promising young talents, whose artistic potential is in full development and ready to assert themselves on the artistic scene. ACTWALL also makes it a point to encourage diversity in artistic creation by supporting self-taught photographers whose affirmed approach is often marginalized in the traditional photography circuit.<\/p>\n

CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACTWALL charges a 30% commission on acquisitions, enabling photographers to benefit from a range of services. Management of the acquisition includes discussion with the client, presentation of suitable works and simulation in their space to scale. We also take care of organising production and managing delivery and\/or hanging, with secure shipping, installation advice and post-acquisition support.<\/p>\n

In addition, the 30% commission applied to acquisitions contributes to the costs of maintaining and managing the platform, guaranteeing its smooth running and enabling us to continue promoting Swiss photography with commitment and high standards.<\/p>\n

Notre mission est d'encourager l'excellence artistique avec un engagement significatif au sein de la communaut\u00e9 helv\u00e9tique, en d\u00e9nichant des auteur.e.s photographes \u00e9tabli.e.s en Suisse, reconnu.e.s dans le monde institutionnel, mais dont les oeuvres demeurent \u00e9tonnamment difficiles \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir. En effet, plus de 98% des \u0153uvres photographiques en Suisse sont invisibles \u00e0 l\u2019acquisition. Notre vision est de sensibiliser la nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019acqu\u00e9reurs quant \u00e0 l'importance cruciale de l'acquisition photographique, qui repr\u00e9sente le soutien le plus direct pour les artistes. Afin de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ce d\u00e9fis, nous proposons un accompagnement expert sur mesure tout au long du processus d'acquisition, destin\u00e9 tant aux photographes qu'aux acqu\u00e9reurs. Notre objectif est de faciliter la cr\u00e9ation de collections refl\u00e9tant des valeurs positives et \u00e9thique. ACTWALL s\u00e9lectionne et soutient avec exigence des photographes talentueux\u00b7ses bas\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s en Suisse, selon des crit\u00e8res qui garantissent la qualit\u00e9 et la singularit\u00e9 des \u0153uvres propos\u00e9es. Les photographes doivent exprimer une approche artistique authentique et personnelle. La plateforme cherche \u00e0 soutenir \u00e0 la fois des artistes confirm\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s, ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 une reconnaissance institutionnelle, ainsi que de jeunes talents prometteur\u00b7euse\u00b7s, dont le potentiel artistique est en pleine \u00e9volution et pr\u00eat\u00b7e\u00b7s \u00e0 s\u2019affirmer sur la sc\u00e8ne artistique. ACTWALL met \u00e9galement un point d'honneur \u00e0 encourager la diversit\u00e9 dans la cr\u00e9ation artistique en soutenant des photographes autodidactes dont la d\u00e9marche affirm\u00e9e est souvent marginalis\u00e9e dans le circuit traditionnel de la photographie.<\/p>\r\nCONDITIONS<\/strong>\r\n

ACTWALL applique une commission de 30 % sur les acquisitions, permettant aux photographes de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de plusieurs services. La gestion de l\u2019acquisition inclut l\u2019\u00e9change avec le client, la pr\u00e9sentation des \u0153uvres adapt\u00e9es et la simulation dans leur espace \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle. L\u2019organisation de la production est \u00e9galement prise en charge, ainsi que la gestion de la livraison et\/ou de l\u2019accrochage, avec une exp\u00e9dition s\u00e9curis\u00e9e, des conseils d\u2019installation et un accompagnement post-acquisition.<\/p>\r\n

Par ailleurs, la commission de 30 % appliqu\u00e9e sur les acquisitions contribue aux frais de maintien et de gestion de la plateforme, garantissant son bon fonctionnement et permettant de poursuivre la promotion de la photographie suisse avec engagement et exigence.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
