In Time #0016

What is the physical future of photography? As a medium for memory and transmission, it questions our relationship with time. Using negatives found at flea markets dating from the 1950s and 1960s, I explore the evolution of images through the ages. I develop them directly on tree leaves, using sunlight and photosynthesis, without adding any chemicals.

This work creates a dialogue between the ephemeral and the lasting: fragile leaves, destined to decompose, rub shoulders with the memories of a vanished generation. Initially, I presented only the leaves themselves, in their material fragility. Today, I also offer large prints that allow viewers to immerse themselves in the details of the veins and textures of the plants, as if in a map where the photographic image blends into the living matter.
