Léonie Rose Marion

Léonie Rose Marion is a photographer who explores the links between geology, territory, light, and photography. Working in the field, she captures melting glaciers, light pollution, and the fragile forms of living and visible things.

She has exhibited at various Swiss institutions and festivals, including the Geneva Photography Center, the Biel Photography Days, FORMAT in Mont-Soleil, Photo Elysée in Lausanne, KBCB in Biel, and IPFO-Haus der Fotografie in Olten.

In 2022, she was awarded the City of Geneva Documentary Photography Grant to carry out her project Relever la nuit (Rising at Night), about light pollution. She will continue her research in early 2025 in the Atacama Desert in Chile, thanks to her selection for the Pro Helvetia x South America artist residency program, on the connection we have with the starry sky.

Léonie Rose Marion is a graduate of the Vevey School of Photography and the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD-Geneva).
