The final part of a trilogy launched in 2006, the organic elements of the Petit Théâtre des Vanités, in all their putrid splendor, question the breaking point—or balance—between the still living and the already dead. They exploit the fascination exerted by the process of material alteration – thus reminding us of the finitude of all things – and question a certain idea of beauty, since decay is highlighted and magnified here as one would a precious object.
