Hervé Annen is a Geneva-based photographer with a degree in Visual Arts from ECAL. It was at the end of his studies that he turned resolutely towards photography. Since then, he has produced images for big-name publications such as GEO Magazin, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel and T, the magazine of Le Temps. He also works with brands such as Hermès, Freitag and Globus.

At the end of 2019, alongside his commissions, Hervé Annen will begin a personal Polaroid project during a stay in southern Italy. From this series emerge compositions combining sculptural forms, still lifes, architectural constructions and landscapes. Silhouettes sometimes appear in these images, bathed in light and contrasted by the density of the shadows.

In 2024, he published Polaroid Wanderings, the first book to bring together 50 of these snapshots. The book is available at the Photo Elysée museum in Lausanne. These images have also been exhibited in several galleries, from Zurich to Geneva.
